Theya is the world’s simplest Bitcoin self-custody app for users who find crypto exchanges risky and hardware wallets overwhelming. We are making the self-custody UX seamless with our multi-sig wallet that users can set up using smartphones, giving them the functionality and convenience of centralized exchanges without sacrificing control and security of hardware wallets. We aim to be the default consumer app for Bitcoin - offering products like accumulation, lending, investments and payments - all built on top of our intuitive self-custody platform.

Smeet BhattFounder

Smeet has background as a tech entrepreneur and investor. Previously, he led marketing and GTM at a YC S18 enterprise software company, Prodigal (Sr A: Accel, Menlo, YC). Smeet was also an investor with IDG Ventures and co-founded Chymera (mobile VR ad-network). Smeet studied Civil Engineering and Physics at IIT Bombay and has experience trading global macro (equities, bonds, FX, commodities) and growth tech investing for over 8 years. He also believes that Bitcoin is not a choice.

Sriram Bhargav KarnatiCo-founder

Sriram is co-founder of Theya. He has led crypto engineering teams at Robinhood, FalconX and GameStop Blockchain. He built crypto custody infrastructure and led the development of self-custody wallets for Robinhood and GameStop. He is a Xoogler who has over 10 years of experience building consumer apps. Sriram graduated with Bachelors in Computer Science from IIT Bombay.
